orange you glad to see this?

Every year, my stepmom takes on the task of creating homemade gifts for friends and family, with this year being no different. She wanted to create sets of scrubby and washcloths, either with a lemon theme or an orange theme. Knowing the panic that is annually induced upon my dear stepmom a week before Christmas — usually featuring a momentous crafting frenzy — I offered to step in and help out. I’ve been working on the orange theme for the past week and a half when I can, and they sure are cute!

I’m relatively new to crocheting (starting out with The Woobles kit last year), but I already enjoy this form of art. However, the first hour of trying to remember what a single crochet even looks like while turning the tutorial’s playback speed to 0.25x was not my finest hour. But I persevered, and now I can complete each item without even looking at the pattern! Progress!
